For some years brambles have been over growing here. Councillor Julian Lewis-Booth has managed to get these on a work order for completion early October, working with the Public Realm team. The land is council owned, but had not been on any current maintenance regime.
Marple Conservative councillors Kenny Blair, Annette Finnie and Tom Dowse attended the drop in event at Marple Hall to discuss the plan with residents and council officers. Residents were encouraged to give their views on transport, housing, leisure and work priorities.
Councillor Annette Finnie has requested a review into bus provision in Marple and High Lane by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), following the removal of the 303 service which runs from High Lane to Hyde a couple of days a week with a very limited service.
