SAVED! Offerton Fire Station Night & Weekend Crews

Following months of campaigning and consultation, Paul Athans and William Wragg MP are delighted to announce that Offerton Fire Station will continue to be crewed 24/7. Labour-run Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were threatening to scrap day and weekend manning of the fire station - leading to longer response times and undermining resident's safety.

Paul Athans said, "This is a great day for Offerton and the wider community. Residents can now sleep soundly knowing that their local fire station will be manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Having spoken with hundreds of residents in the last few months and heard the genuine concern over these plans, I have been working alongside William Wragg MP to make sure Labour-run Greater Manchester listens to local people."
