Offerton Fire Station Update
Greater Manchester Fire Service is proposing to move to day time only staffing of Offerton Fire Station.
The proposals would see the station staffed only between 8.30am-6pm Mon-Fri and until 1pm at weekends
Outside of staffed hours, firefighters would be "On Call" within a radius of the fire station to respond as and when needed.
The proposal has been based on risk of threat to life incidents in the area - this does not include lower level issues such as bin fires, low level arson etc.
These proposals will impact residents across our area, especially given our other nearby fire station in Marple is already day crew only.
