Following today's forecast no further gritting is required. Cowlishaw Road has been opened this morning.

Bins and recycling

This week’s extreme weather has caused us to leave bins uncollected. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
All green bin collections have been cancelled until (week commencing 12th March). This allows these vehicles and crews to carryout catch up operations.
If your bin has not been collected this week please find the catch up schedule below;

BlackTuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th March
BlueThursday 8th and Friday 9th March
GreenAll collections have been cancelled – Normal collections will resume week commencing 12th March
All brown, blue and black bin collections due next week (week commencing 5th March) will be collected as normal.

Gritting and road updates
All priority routes have been gritted and ploughed and are running. The following priority roads are impassable due to drifting snow;
- Wybersley Road, High Lane
- Glossop Road, Marple
- Shiloh Road, Mellor
- Moor End Road, Mellor (100 yards down from Shiloh Road)
Following today's forecast we will be doing an ice grit to all priority routes, trailer routes and car parks commencing at 7:00pm tonight.
