After speaking to local residents, Hazel Grove Councillor Oliver Johnstone has requested that the council cut back and inspect the large tree on Alma Road in Hazel Grove.
The tree overhangs resident's gardens, covering driveways in seeds and broken branches. Cll Johnstone also raised questions about the health of the tree.
Oliver said, "A number of trees in the area have come down in the area after having found to be rotten. I have requested the tree to be inspected so that residents will have peace of mind that the tree is safe. A number of home owners on Alma Road have told me how the tree seats violently when windy."
Cllr Oliver Johnstone also asked for the overgrown grass verges to be moaned they are looking untidy and in poor condtion.
