Local people in Hazel Grove Constituency have voiced their outrage at Lib Dem proposals to let thousands of convicted burglars and shoplifters walk free.
In a motion agreed at their recent conference in Brighton, the Liberal Democrats have called on the Government to scrap most sentences of 12 months or less. Local people and businesses in Hazel Grove Constituency are concerned about rising incidents of burglary and thefts in our area. These Lib Dem plans are a green light to prospective thieves and burglars to prey on vulnerable local people and struggling local businesses. 1000s of burglars & shoplifters would walk free under the proposals.
