Marple Library Temporary Closure April

Marple Library is going to be temporarily closed, for some essential building work, from Monday 1st April 2019 until Saturday 13th April and will re-open on Monday 15th April .

Following a successful pilot at Bramhall Library Stockport Council has now installed Open Library technology (Open+) across, Cheadle Hulme, Hazel Grove, High Lane, Heaton’s and Marple Libraries.

Following impact from a heavy goods vehicle the west parapet of Compstall Bridge, over the River Etherow, was severely damaged.  Obviously this is a serious safety issue and we are now in a position to undertake repairs to the west parapet and central pier as necessary, following negotiations wit
