Compstall Bridge repair from 3rd September

Following impact from a heavy goods vehicle the west parapet of Compstall Bridge, over the River Etherow, was severely damaged.  Obviously this is a serious safety issue and we are now in a position to undertake repairs to the west parapet and central pier as necessary, following negotiations wit

This work is now programmed to be carried out over the weekend of 15th and 16th of September 2018 subject to the necessary permissions being obtained via TFGM and the Streetworks team.

Compstall Fete

Annette Finnie helped out at the Hoop La stall at the fete:

Fixing Potholes

The Conservative Government have made a further £100M available to Councils to address potholes following the severe weather. The local share of this will see Stockport Council get an additional £297,212 from the pothole fund on top of the pothole action funds we have already had this year.
