Stockport Council have received an application to erect an 18 metre 5G phone mast and cabinets next to the Valley shops at the junction of Bosden Fold Road and Hazelwood Road.
At 18 metres, the mast would dwarf the surrounding properties and would severely impact the visual amentiy of residents in the surrounding area. The mast would be unduly obtrusive to local residents' properties and for people accessing the shops and businesses on Hazelwood Road. Furthermore, the mast and cabinets would be sited on one of our grass verges at the front of the shops, meaning further loss of our local green space.
Cllr Oliver Johnstone and your local Conservatives are calling on Stockport Council to reject this planning application. The application can be viewed online via https://www.stockport.gov.uk/find-planning-applications using the reference DC/082536. Please also register your views via the portal before the consultation deadline 1st October 2021.
