Stockport Council have rejected an application to erect an 18 metre 5G phone mast and cabinets next to the Valley shops at the junction of Bosden Fold Road and Hazelwood Road.
At 18 metres, the mast would have dwarfed the surrounding properties and would have had a severe impact on the visual amentiy of residents in the surrounding area. The mast would have beeen unduly obtrusive to local residents' properties and for people accessing the shops and businesses on Hazelwood Road.
Following a campaign by Cllr Oliver Johnstone and your local Conservatives Stockport Council rejected this planning application. The application can be viewed online via https://www.stockport.gov.uk/find-planning-applications using the reference DC/082536.
